A Mazing Jetty is inspired by the jetties in Kampung Tebing Runtuh fishing village. The jetties were built by the local villagers and remain as one of the unique geographical appearances of Malaysia’s coastline. The idea of a jetty suggests an inner and outer connection. On one hand it allows the local fishermen to dock their fishing boats and leads directly into their homes. On the other hand it functions as a bridge that connects them to the sea where they make their living. Thus jetties maybe considered as the blood vessels of a fishing village.
